Experimenting with AI tools

On the 27th April I was invited to present on Artificial Intelligence. I presented not as an expert in the field but rather an AI enthusiast and thought I should share some of the interesting things I'm experimenting with using AI.

I share here snippets from the presentation (which by the way was generated with the help of an AI tool, Magic Canva). Each image is accompanied with a brief description of what tool was used and for what purpose. The objective was to stir the interest in the audience mainly young students in the STEM field but also students from other disciplines to find an area of interest in which AI can be applied.

You can also find the presentation on Canva using this link:  Canva Magic Presentation

1. What basically is Artificial Intelligence?

2. Examples of areas where AI is mainly used.

3. How AI is serving others especially in the area of Healthcare, Education, Business, and Environment. There are many areas however I highlighted only these four.

4. Then came the question of "How can we adopt AI to address some of our challenges (social, economical, law and order, educational etc..) of new ways of doing things.

5. I shared some practical uses of AI in particular things that I am experimenting with.

6. Cultural Art - Bilum patterns and designs.

I thought wouldn't it be fun using AI to remix or generate entirely new designs or patterns of our bilums from the highlands, islands, momase or papuan regions. Here I give an example of using a tool called CFSpark Imagemix AI to generate new bilum patterns and designs from an original Highlands bilum.

7. Cultural Art - Bilum Patterns & Designs

Here's another one. A highlands bilum image fed into CFSpark Imagemix AI and let it generate new designs or patterns. You can continue remixing until you're satisfied with the patterns or designs.

Here's another one.

10. Meri blouse designs and patterns.

For this one I used AI tool called Scribble Diffusion to sketch with my laptop and mouse a dress pattern and give a bit of text (you can see the text description at the bottom) for AI to generate an image of a new meri blouse.

11. I'm working on a kids story book and using an AI tool MidJourney to generate the illustrations for the story book. I signed up for $10 a month to create this images and many others.

12. I've already created a couple videos using AI generated voice apps and wanted to take this a step further when I found this tool ElevenLabs that can clone your voice for voice-over projects. How happy I was. You will definitely see some short videos using AI generated cloned voices.
